Bat Houses

Our Bat Houses can hold a whole colony, and the best place to put a bat house on the side of your home (or outer building). When you place them in these locations, they’re more successful because the sun will warm the home, and the bats will more easily locate them. They find their new roosting sites with ease, even without food lures. Bats are beneficial because 1 bat can eat up to 1000 mosquitos an hour! A colony of bats eats 10,000 mosquitos a night! That's some serious pest control! Also, if you have a bat house, the colonies tend to avoid places like the attics or uppers areas of homes and businesses.

Beneficial Insects

Pollinators: We depend on these insects—including bees, butterflies, flies, and moths—to pollinate our garden’s flowers.

Predators: These insects eliminate pests by eating them. Things like ladybugs, praying mantises, and green lacewing larvae fall into this category.

Parasitizers: Like predators, parasitizers also prey upon other insects, but in a slightly different way. They lay their eggs on or in the bad bugs, and when the eggs hatch, the larvae feed on the host insects. Parasitic wasps are the main member of this category.
